OTP closes far-right bank account

OTP bank has closed the account of far-right movement Strength and Commitment (Erõ és Elszántság) lead by Zsolt Tyirityán, the bank told the weekly Magyar Narancs.

The movement soon plans to transform itself into a party. It was founded by members of the Bandit Troops (Betyársereg) and Identitesz. The website of the movement quotes Goebbels’ 1943 speech “Nation, rise up, and let the storm break loose”.

Facebook also deleted the movement’s page a few days ago.

OTP did not disclose its reasons for closing the account.
