Eighth District to build swimming pool

Budapest’s Eighth District plans to build a swimming pool on the site of the former Józsefvárosi railway station, mayor Máté Kocsis said at the latest local council meeting.

The 20-hectare disused railway station formerly hosted the Chinese market Four Tigers, which was closed four years ago.

The Ft 1.5 billion pool, for which the funds have been made available and which will also include soccer fields, will be built in the coming two to three years, Kocsis said.
