Generation Z prefers social media

Generation Z, persons who fall between the ages of 14-25, use social media one to two hours a day in Hungary, according to a survey conducted by opinion pollster Medián.

Among them 99% are present on Facebook. Concerning online news sources, Index is in the lead in this generation, followed by HVG, 444 and 24.hu. Some 40% do not visit the news websites directly but via posts on Facebook.

Personal networks play also a larger role for them in opinion forming than traditional media.

Generation Z considers a gross monthly wage of Ft 269,000 acceptable for a position, and believe that Ft 420,000 is a good wage.
