KEHI investigates PMO land sale

Through a direct order of Prime Minister’s Office leader János Lázár the government monitoring office KEHI launched an investigation into the sale of a piece of land by the PMO in Budapest’s 11th District near Lake Feneketlen, weekly Heti Válasz learnt.

The paper published documents in its last issue according to which the PMO sold the land in question to Péter Henn and Balázs Tekse, who immediately sold it to property developer DVM Group for a large profit. The state may have lost Ft 4-5 billion on the transaction.

Heti Válasz also underlined that around a thousand people have already signed the petition against the construction of a block of flats by the developer in the area.
