Wizz Air to fly Kharkiv, Lviv

Wizz Air is launching new flights from Budapest to Kharkiv and Lviv in the Ukraine and opening a new flight to Brussels International Airport, Wizz Air Hungary CEO Stephen Jones announced at a press conference on Tuesday.

There will be daily flights to the new destination in Brussels from June 1, 2020, and the airline will fly twice weekly to the two cities in the Ukraine.

Jones emphasised that flights to Charleroi, Belgium will be maintained after the new Brussels link is opened.

An additional A321neo aircraft will be based in Budapest to help service the new routes.

Wizz Air aims to carry 5.6 million passengers to and from Hungary this year, up from 5.2 million last year.

Wizz Air flies to 150 destinations with a fleet of 119 planes stationed at 25 base airports.
