Gov’t office orders inquiry on diverted flight

PMO state secretary for public services Bence Tuzson has ordered an immediate inquiry at the Capital Government Office over the diversion of a Ryanair flight, the PMO announced on Monday.

A July 27 flight from Amman, Jordan to Budapest was diverted to Bratislava, Slovakia due to bad weather, and passengers were told they would be transported further by bus. But no bus service was provided and passengers had to find their way to Budapest on their own.

The inquiry will determine whether Ryanair properly informed its clients of their options and complied with its obligations to provide assistance.
