Szijjártó opposes care for migrants

It is unacceptable to propose that UN member states should provide the same healthcare to illegal immigrants as to their resident citizens, Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó declared at Wednesday’s sitting of the UN Economic and Social Council.

The foreign minister confirmed this on telephone to MTI, adding that immigrants who reside in a country illegally should not be entitled to the same care as citizens who have paid taxes for decades.

Hungary, the US, Israel, the Czech Republic and Poland voted against the document.
