MNB cracks down on financial firm

The MNB has banned UK-based financial service provider Goldsten from collecting deposits or other repayable financial assets without a licence with immediate effect and has filed a criminal report against the company.

The company promised its clients unrealistically high yields and a guaranteed return, but did not have an operating license.

The MNB issued a warning about Goldsten earlier, urging investors to always check whether a financial company is registered at the MNB and has the necessary permits to conduct its activities.
