Sziget announces Ft 1.5bn profit

The Sziget festival aims to achieve a record high number of visitors this year through continuing to increase its budget for top performers.

Sziget Group earned nearly Ft 1.5 billion in profits last year, spokesman Tamás Kádár said at a press conference on Thursday, adding that this year nine top singers have been invited with an increased budget of Ft 500 million over last year.

Single-day tickets for August 7, the day of an Ed Sheeran concert, have already sold out.

Sziget will give up using plastic straws and cutlery this year.
