Forint strengthens to five-month high

The forint traded at less than 320 per euro on Thursday, reaching a five-month peak after a two-day rally.

The strengthening started on Wednesday when MNB deputy governor Márton Nagy said the central bank was ready to start monetary tightening if core inflation hits 3%, something that he said he expected to occur in the first quarter.
