Párisi Udvar Hotel to open next year

The reconstruction of the Párisi Udvar Hotel in downtown Budapest will be completed by the end of the year and a five-star hotel will start operations next year, hotel chief Tamás Fazekas said on Wednesday.

The project is behind schedule, Index observes, adding that the initial scheduled opening date of June 2018 was postponed to December and now to next year.

The restoration of the ceramic-covered façade has been completed, Fazekas said.

The protected building is being renewed according to its original design, said project leader János Hermesz.

The crystal dome above the lobby has already been restored. The 110-room hotel will have 18 suites and two luxury loft suites with terraces.
