Heti Válasz prints last edition

A possible American buyer of conservative weekly Heti Válasz has withdrawn, so Thursday’s print edition will be the last for some time, chief editor Gábor Borókai announced on Wednesday.

As there is a chance that nobody will save the weekly after owner Lajos Simicska announced that he no longer needs it, the publisher has initiated bankruptcy proceedings to give Simicska time to resolve the financial situation.

Efforts will be made during the three months of the bankruptcy proceedings to stabilise the economic background so that the weekly can be revived.

From next week Heti Válasz will be available only in electronic form online.
