Kertész Institute planned

The government is granting Ft 2 billion to establish an Imre Kertész Institute, honouring the Nobel-winning writer, to be run by the foundation that oversees the House of Terror museum.

The institute has already purchased a villa on Benczúr utca in Budapest’s Sixth District for Ft 600 million.

The foundation, led by House of Terror Museum director Mária Schmidt, will also receive Ft 60 million for renewing the museum building at Andrássy út 60.
