Hundreds of thousands of forints worth of foreign currency have apparently been stolen by two passenger security personnel and one at the metal detector gate. Police identified the thieves from recordings made by closed-circuit cameras. Four million passengers took off from Ferihegy airport in the first six months of the year and only 57 baggage thefts were reported.
