Police capture suspected killers

Bács-Kiskun police on Monday captured three of four men suspected of killing three people in March, 2008. The fourth is still at large and a warrant has been issued for his arrest.

Police anti-crime department head Zsolt Polyák told reporters that the four are also suspected of murdering a well-known Baja entrepreneur, as well as a 32-year-old woman and her 41-year-old common-law husband.

Police arrested a man who admitted under questioning that he shot the man in the head because he owed millions of forints to the couple, while two other men strangled the woman. The three men put the bodies in a car and buried them in a pit dug earlier. The bodies were later found by police.

In an unrelated event police captured three persons accused of robbing and beating to death an elderly farmer in Soltvadkert, Bács county on Monday. Two young men and their mother have been taken into custody.
