Bodies of drowned youths found

The US Coast Guard on Friday found the bodies of 16-year-old Dóra Schwendtner and 20-year-old Szabolcs Prem, both from Mosonmagyaróvár, who drowned in the Delaware River in Philadelphia on Wednesday.

The two disappeared in the river after a sightseeing water bus carrying them collided with a barge and then sank.

The passengers included 13 students from Mosonmagyaróvár and two teachers accompanying them who arrived in the US on July 2 as part of a student exchange programme. The other 35 people on board were rescued after the collision.

Hundreds attended a silent candlelight remembrance outside the Kossuth High School in Mosonmagyaróvár Saturday evening in tribute to the two.
