Workers, not cash for flood demolitions
The government will provide community workers to tear down flood-damaged houses rather than allow local authorities to handle funds for the project, government spokeswoman Anna Nagy said Thursday.
The over Ft 3 billion sum earmarked for rebuilding houses and buying new flats cannot be used to demolish ruined homes “as some families could be left without a roof over their head,” Nagy explained.
