HATC SAMPLE EDITION:    Politics & Foreign Relations    Economic News    Business News    Other News of Interest    All stories	5th July, 2010 MFB squads raid infrastructural firms The government ousted eight CEOs of state-owned companies overseen by the state development bank MFB with simultaneous “commando raids” on three infrastructural companies on Friday, index.hu reported. MFB emergency squads seized control of the offices of National Infrastructure Development Company (NIF), the State Motorway Management Company (ÁAK) and Magyar Közút Nonprofit, whose respective chairman-CEOs Kálmán Reményik, Attila Nagy and Jenő Zsupponits were sacked on the spot. Each was escorted off the premises and had their company cars and mobile phones rescinded. The Transport Ministry had previously supervised the three companies but the new government has given this right to the MFB. The government then appointed the following chairman-CEOs at eight companies: Attila Bakó (ÁAK), Ferenc Orosz (NIF); Ákos Kovács (Magyar Közút), Gergely Horváth (Hungarian Tourist Board), Gyula Bartha (Hungarian Economic Development Centre), Attila Kalocsai (State Debt Manager), Sándor Ormándi (MFB Invest) and Péter Adamecz (Eximbank). The role of each companies’ board of directors was discontinued and will be taken on by the new chairman-CEOs. The number of supervisory board members will meanwhile be reduced.
