Red Bull taps mobile market

Energy drink maker Red Bull will launch its mobile phone network in Hungary with the co-operation of Norwegian mobile operator Telenor.

Users will be offered two network tariffs: one with a Ft 5,490 monthly fee and the other with a Ft 10,490 charge, which will respectively give 200 and 400 minutes call time.

Red Bull will sell two high-end handsets that have been unavailable in Hungary until now, one of them being the RBM2.

A special feature of the Red Bull network will be its website, where news and videos can be downloaded from events such as Formula 1 races and Red Bull air shows.

The energy drink company will not be a virtual network operator, instead teaming up with Telenor in a similar co-operation deal to that of Magyar Posta and Vodafone, Népszabadság points out.
